Our Church Directory has finally been published! A big THANK YOU to the many people who contributed toward making this happen!
Photography for the beautiful cover and activity pages was done by Eric Gambill. Jodie Gambill used her computer expertise and talent for getting these pages ready to print. Vickie Brewington took care of our roster. Many others contributed their time in various ways....Kathy Carneal, Peggy Flatt, Geneva Pugh, Jane Kelley, Ernestine Hawkins, Carla McCauley, Linda Murphy, Sandra Pigue, Betty Hunt-Kilpatrick, Betsy England, Suzanne Monroe, Peggy McManus, Horton Monroe, Brother Jim, and John Turpin. Hope you are enjoying it!

THANKS to each of you, we carried over 120 backpacks to DuPont Elementary Wednesday, August 12th. The children of the Church got to pick one out after Worship service Sunday.
Bless you!! Betsy
Several of you have expressed an interest in learning to knit so you can participate in the Prayer Shawl ministry. Carla will be offering a beginners class in knitting on Saturday, August 29th @ 2:00 PM. Come and learn the art of knitting and then you can purchase your yarn for your Prayer Shawl. IF YOU ARE ALREADY WORKING ON YOUR SHAWL, KNITTING OR CROCHET, come to this event for fellowship and enjoy the company of ladies who love to help those in need.
NEEDED: Please save the tabs from your soft drink cans from now until November....we will use them for a craft at Old Hickory Towers.....there will be envelopes on the two event boards on the parking lot side of the church for you to donate....thanks!!!!
We will be participating in the Prayer Shawl Ministry. All knitters who want to participate, please see Carla.......we will be dedicating them in Mid-January 2010.
OHUMC is dependent on the donations of its members and friends to carry on the work of Christ in the Old Hickory area. We appreciate those who love the church and believe in what we are doing, and want to offer them a means of supporting our ministries financially online. Please click on the button above to make your donation.
(All online processing services charge a small fee to process your donation. This fee comes to around $3 per $100 donated and we ask you, if you are willing and able, to include the cost of processing in your donation. Thank you.)
